Washington Coin & Bullion Association (WCBA) is a statewide coalition of coin and precious-metals dealers and consumers working to protect fair tax treatment for investment-grade coins and bullion in Washington State.

After the Legislature passed ESSB 5794, Section 105, Washington’s 40-year sales-tax exemption on investment-grade precious metals ends on January 1, 2026. This adds sales tax and B&O tax — roughly a 10% combined tax — far exceeding typical 2–3% dealer margins. WCBA is working to restore the exemption and protect Washington businesses and consumers.

Important Notice: Change in Payment Policy – Effective 12/17/24

As of December 17, 2024, Redmond Rare Coins will no longer be accepting credit cards or debit cards of any kind. This decision is a direct result of an incident involving Aleksandr Shevtsov of Bellevue, WA, who works for Uber Freight in Seattle. Mr. Shevtsov has been implicated in committing credit card fraud totaling $32,000.

If you know Mr. Shevtsov, we kindly ask that you inform him that we would appreciate the return of our gold or the equivalent value of $32,000 in cash. We are committed to resolving this matter promptly and appreciate your understanding.
