1915-S Lincoln Cent – PCGS VF25
“Wow, such rarity, very copper.”
Behold: a 1915-S Lincoln Wheat Cent in all its VF25 glory. Yes, it's brown. Yes, it's worn. But hey — it survived over a century, a World War, the Great Depression, and probably someone’s junk drawer. And it still got slabbed by PCGS, so you know it’s legit.
With a mintage of just 4.8 million, this little guy is technically a semi-key date, which is a fancy way of saying “not super rare, but rare enough to be annoying when filling a Dansco album.” The “S” mintmark is loud and proud, and Lincoln’s face still has enough detail to judge you silently.
The coin shows “honest wear,” which is a euphemism for “it’s seen stuff.” But no damage, no corrosion, and it hasn’t been cleaned (thankfully). Just your solid, hardworking West Coast Wheatback, graded VF25 because someone at PCGS agreed it's not totally terrible.
