Ancient silver drachm from the Satraps of Caria, likely issued under Hekatomnos, circa 395–377 BC. The obverse shows the laureate head of Apollo facing slightly right, while the reverse depicts Zeus Labraundos standing right with his double axe and spear/scepter.

This example weighs 3.38 grams, measures 14 mm, and tested by XRF at approximately 97.58% silver, with minor copper, lead, and trace gold consistent with ancient silver alloy. The coin is dark, worn, and rough in spots, but the type remains identifiable. Not a beauty queen — more like a 2,400-year-old bar fight survivor with enough silver and history left to make modern “collectibles” look embarrassing.
